Bass Brigade.

If you love fishing in Texas or just enjoy being out on the water, then you should join us for Bass Brigade! Not only will you learn about the different fish species in Texas, but you’ll also learn about the different factors involved in proper habitat management. Experienced instructors dive into subjects from fly tying and casting to plant identification and electrofishing. Whether you come to Bass Brigade as an enthusiastic angler or someone with little to no experience, you’ll have the opportunity to gain some great fishing tips! There is truly something for everyone at Bass Brigade!

Bass Brigade is a unique, educational program designed to educate participants about aquatic ecosystems and natural resource management. For five days, field professionals will educate youth on topics such as botany (terrestrial and aquatic plants), biology, pond and lake management, water quality strategies, and land and water stewardship. Beyond these field-related subjects, there are also activities involving photography, journaling, and art. As with all of our Texas Brigades camps, life skills such as leadership, team-building, critical thinking, public speaking, and communication are incorporated into many aspects of Bass Brigade.
